Articles are the cheap version of “the bot handled it.” A visitor searches in the messenger. An operator can pull a keyword draft into the composer. You still send.
Write in Help center
Open Help center. Click New article. Give it a collection (Getting started, Website widget, Shared inbox, Help articles, Billing, or Team — or your own label). Title it with the words people type: “refund”, “seat”, “invoice”. Write the body. The excerpt is the one-line summary on lists and in search.
Lines that start with ## become headings on the public page, and the table of contents if you have a few of them. Lists start with - . A code sample sits between triple backticks.
Publish
Drafts stay off the widget and off the public URL. Publish when the page is true. Unpublish if you need it gone in a hurry — the next widget load and the next help visit will not show it.
Where it appears
- Articles tab in the messenger, searched against title and body.
{your-workspace-slug}.coveinbox.cofor published pages (oldcoveinbox.co/help/{slug}links redirect).- A custom host after you add the CNAME and we verify DNS/TLS. Status stays pending until that check passes.
- Cove Agent in the inbox: a keyword match against articles and macros, not an LLM trained on your domain.
Write one idea per article. A page that tries to be the whole handbook is hard to search and hard to draft from.
