Most “startup helpdesks” are Zendesk with 80 empty fields or Intercom with Fin attached. Cove is a full customer support platform: a branded messenger and a shared inbox at a workspace price — chat, help, CRM, and workflows in one product. Read how to run it before you compare logos.
The desk a support team actually uses
- One script on the site. Theme, radius, launcher, copy in Widget — so the chat does not look like every other SaaS bubble.
- Visitor writes. Thread lands in the inbox. Assign, internal note, quick reply (/hours, optional assign/tag/resolve), snooze, ⌘ Enter.
- Articles tab in the messenger. Same pages on {slug}.coveinbox.co, or a verified custom domain.
- Resolve closes that chat and can ask CSAT 1–5. A new message is a new conversation.
What it costs
From pricing, same figures as checkout: Free $0 (2 seats), Mini $39 (10), Essentials $89 (25), Plus $219 (50). Yearly is two months free. Conversations unlimited. Extra seats $6/mo on Mini and up. Fourteen-day trial, card required. Cancel before day 14. Free signup does not require a card.
Workspace list prices, 29 Aug 2026. Intercom seats from intercom.com/pricing. Crisp from crisp.chat/en/pricing. Cove from coveinbox.co/pricing.

Macros, snooze, and one page teaser.
Quick replies are a workspace library with shortcuts. Insert can assign, tag, and/or set pending or resolved. Threads can be snoozed (1h, 3h, tomorrow 09:00, next Monday) and filtered as Snoozed. Widget studio can fire URL-contains + delay teasers. Routing rules can assign on inbound (VIP tag, hours, or a People segment) when you enable them. Live workflows persist and can greet.
Turn these on when you are ready
- Plus drafts from articles. Live workflows for a greeting.
- Broadcasts and widget teasers.
- HubSpot, Shopify, and a signed webhook.
- Inbox PWA, highlight on page, visitor map.

Customizable live chat widget: glass, themes, radius, launcher
Most live chat widgets give you a color and a greeting. Cove’s Widget studio sets the look visitors actually see: theme, a single radius in pixels, launcher shape and mark, then a shared inbox behind it. That is the product.

How to run Cove: widget, inbox, articles, resolve
Cove is one complete desk on purpose. This is the path a team actually takes: a script on the site, articles the visitor can open in the widget, a shared inbox, then resolve and CSAT. Campaigns, workflows, and a portal sit beside that loop.
