Help articles inside the live chat widget

The cheap version of “AI support” is a good article next to the composer. Cove’s messenger has an Articles tab that searches what you published. Operators can pull a keyword draft. A person still sends.

Intercom and Crisp both put help in the messenger. Switch to Cove for the same loop plus a verified custom host — on the same desk as chat and team workflows. Write the pages. They appear in the widget and at {your-workspace-slug}.coveinbox.co.

Write once, two surfaces

Help center in the app: title, collection, body, publish. Unpublished drafts stay off both the widget and the public URL. FAQs can sit with articles on the public help page. Cove’s own pages are at coveinbox.co/help/cove.

What the search actually matches

The Articles tab searches title and body of published entries. It is not an embedding index and not a crawl of your marketing site. Short titles that use the words people type (“refund”, “seat”, “invoice”) work better than clever names.

Draft from articles in the inbox

The composer has a “Draft from articles” mode. Keyword match against title, excerpt, and body. If nothing matches, you get an error — not a guessed refund policy. Insert, edit, send. Pricing lists this on Plus.

What to promise

  • A Cove subdomain, or a custom host after CNAME + verification.
  • A keyword draft the operator still sends. Live workflows can greet.
  • Title and body of published pages — not PDFs or a site crawl.

A first set worth publishing

  • How to install / where the snippet goes (you will be asked).
  • Hours and how to reach a person.
  • Billing: seats, invoices, cancel.
  • The three questions your inbox already repeats.

You can hide the Help or News tab in Widget if that workspace does not use them. Appearance of the panel is the other half: customizable live chat widget. Pricing · blog · signup.
